Outside of Derby:
Best Derby Moment:
Most Embarrassing Moment:
What I'd Tell New Skaters:
About a year and a half.
I work for the department of Veterans Affairs at a Homeless Resource Center. I love the population I get to work with, the Veterans really enrich my life and I'm honored that I get to be apart of their success stories. In my spare time, I like to run and do stuff outside. One day I plan to return to school and get my Master's Degree in either Social Work or Speech Language Pathology.
My best moment came from the very first scrimmage I played as a Rolling Thunder Dame - I won MVP blocker. I was beyond excited!!
My very first bout, I fell during introductions.
My goal for 2014/2015 season is to play on the WV All Stars team.
I am a bundle of nerves before the bouts, so I'm usually freaking out.
What advice would you give to someone thinking about trying out roller derby or who is new to roller derby? PRACTICE, PRACTICE PRACTICE!!! You are your own worst critic, and it's important to push yourself beyond your comfort zone.
As long as the tagline is not about the gingersnap cookie, I'm cool with it.
