Outside of Derby:
Best Derby Moment:
Most Embarrassing Moment:
What I'd Tell New Skaters:
Pivot, the best of both worlds.
Joined Jewel City in May 2011. Suffered an injury in February 2012 and
moved to China for a year. Started skating again September 2013. Math.
Outside of derby I have several jobs. I get to work with kids a lot
which is awesome! Currently I'm a student at Marshall University, and I
just got accepted to a graduate program at Bastyr University. In
addition to playing and watching derby, I enjoy hiking, biking, drinking
dark beer, and challenging social normatives.
We played Gem City's B team in 2014, and I had the opportunity to be
the only blocker for my team on the track. I managed to block their
jammer long enough for my jammer to get through their 3 or 4 blockers
and get lead :)
My first star pass ever in a bout, I dropped the panty and then didn't
know if I was allowed to pick it up :/
Personally, I want to get more comfortable with jamming. As a league,
I'm excited for my teammates and me to gain some excellent experience this season and really grow as a team.
Breakfast of Champions with some teammates and rubbing the magical
essence of the Bottle of Beard on my person.
This sport changed my life! I'm in the best physical condition I've
ever been, my self confidence is so much improved, and my teammates are some of my best friends and the strongest women I've ever known.
I don't know about tagline, but it would give me great amusement if
“Ollie ollie oxen free” became a thing. With cowbells :)
yep I'm on there.
